The most direct way often winds the most.
I am a 27-year-old Italian currently based in Empoli, Tuscany. During my childhood, I moved around a lot throughout Italy, which helped shape one of my core beliefs: being as open-minded as possible and minimizing bias, which I believe to be an important influence to our own limitations. I've been passionate about technology since I was young, looking at it the way a watchmaker looks at the gears of a clock, a passion that eventually led me toward the path I am pursuing today.
Where It All Began
I spent countless hours after school experimenting with creating environmental and behavioral patterns in Unreal Engine and developing 3D models using AutoCAD and Blender.
A Light From Harvard University
I applied to the online course offered by Harvard University through edX, "CS50 - Introduction to Computer Science," where I learned computer science and programming principles, and worked with C and Python.
Start of My Full Stack Journey
I enrolled at the Istituto Tecnico Superiore (ITS) in Pisa, a two-year highly technical academic program in Italy that serves as an alternative to university, to pursue and shape my passions.
First Internship Period
Started my first 3-month-long internship period for the company '3F Consulting' in Florence, where I was enlightened by the book "Thinking In Java", and implemented what I learned on concrete internal projects.
Java Spring Certification
After my internship, I started my path toward the official Java Spring & Spring Boot certification provided by VMware.
A Dive into Machine Learning
I earned the "Machine Learning Specialization" certification offered by Stanford University in collaboration with DeepLearning.AI, under the guidance of the respected Professor Andrew Ng. During the program, I learned how to implement neural networks using TensorFlow and much more.
Second Internship Period
I started my second internship period, working on real-world projects using Python, Java, and JavaScript for full-stack web applications. I also gained experience working with microservices in AWS environments and developed an AI-driven prediction engine for the short-term rental (STR) market in Florence.
